This research was conducted with the purpose of: (1) Describe the implementation steps of Various SourceBased Learning Strategy (BEBAS) to improve the quality of teaching Biology in material characteristics, structure, and classification of fungi in the class X-7 SMA Negeri 5 Balikpapan 1st half 2012-2013 school year; and (2) Describe the improvement of the quality of teaching Biology in material characteristics, structure, and classification of fungi in the class X-7 SMA Negeri 5 Balikpapan 1 semester of 2012-2013 academic year through the implementation of various strategies-Based Learning Source (BEBAS). Subjects were students of class X-7 SMA Negeri 5 Balikpapan, amounting to 42 students. Classroom action research was designed according to the model Kemmis and Taggart for 2 (two) cycles in a participatory and collaborative. Research data was analyzed by descriptive quantitative and qualitative description. These results prove that the implementation strategy Assorted Source-Based Learning (BEBAS) can improve the quality of student learning. Research on implementation strategy Various Source-Based Learning (BEBAS) shown to improve the quality of teaching Biology student learning. It is expected to be a reference and contribute ideas for further research and in the future.
