Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) is a critical foundation for a child’s development and future success. Recognizing its importance, the Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) - Education 2030 Agenda, specifically SDG Target 4.2, and the 2022 Tashkent Declaration of the World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education emphasise the need for quality ECCE for all children. These global frameworks underscore that investing in ECCE is essential for individual child development and achieving broader societal goals such as poverty reduction and gender equality. Ensuring universal access to quality ECCE is fundamental to creating a more just and inclusive world.
