This research aimed to analyze students’ misconception in leaf and blossom
morphology concept at the second semester students of biology department of Faculty of education
and teachers’ training Lancang Kuning university. This research was conducted in May 2014.
Subject of this research was all second semester students of biology department of faculty of
education and teachers’ training lancang kuning university which consisted of 47 students.
The method researcher used was descriptive method. The Instrument of this research was
diagnostic test which consisted of 25 questions in multiple choices complete with students’ conviction
index. Data analysis was done by applying quantitative and qualitative method. Result of this
research indicated that higher misconception in leaf morphology concept; it was 12,46%, and
misconception in blossom morphology concept was 12,17% and misconception of entire students was
12,34%, Level of students’ understanding which was categorized as excellent was 2,13%, good was
40, 42%, average was 46, 80% and 10,63% for those who had low level of understanding. Result
of this research showed that students had misconception in leaf and blossom morphology concept
