The purpose of this research is to know the effect of cooperative learning IOC
type to the student’s concept comprehension in subject matters human exretion system. This
research was conducted on march 2014 in the class XI IPA grade of SMAN 1 Bunga
Raya.This research was quasi-experimental nonequivalent with pretest-posttest control
groups desian. The object of this research was student’s XI IPA1 and XI IPA2 grade with
using simple total random smpling technique. Collecting data was analyzed pretest,
posttest and the observation.The technique analyze data with this research t-test.The average
N-gain in experiment class 0.56 while in control 0.31 to categorize them as enough. From the
result of t-test there are significant difference of control class and experiment class. The
average student’s activity in the experiment class I 91.53%, II 96.92% and in control class
I 65.38%, II 80%. Teacher activities in the experiment class and control I 100%, II 100%. So
it can be conduded that there was a effect the student’s concept comprehension in subject
matters human exretion system at the XI IPA grade of SMAN 1 Bunga Raya Kabupaten
Siak at academic 2013/2014.
