Bilingual learning in Biologi needs to be implemented in a school
in order to face the development of world, it will give good out put if the school,
teacher, curriculum and students‟ interest is supported. The purpose of this
research is to describe teachers‟ readiness in conducting teaching and learning
process using bilingual, ande the response and students‟ interest toward the use
of biological books using English. The research design is field study with
descriptive research method. The sample of this research is students at grade XII
at SMAN Plus Riau Province consisting of 83 students. The technique of
collecting data is by using interview with the teacher and students, and
questionnaire for students. The research finding shows that biological learning in
this school is good and effective. The teacher‟s problem is lack of ability in using
Engilsh, meanwhile the students‟ interest toward the use of biological book is
77.25 % good category.
