The aims of this research is to know the influence of the application fire–up
learning style towards the students’ achievement in digestion system concept of human at grade
VIII of SMPN 28 Pekanbaru. This research was done at the first semester in September 2013.
The research design that was used is quasi experiment Pretest – Posttest Control Group
Design.The sample of this research is students of VIII1 Grade and VIII2 Grade with number
of student 22 and 23 students, that has been taken by using Total technique Sampling.
technique analysing data that was taken by this research was t-test when the distribution data
is normal and homogen and U Mann-Whitney when the data is distributed normal or not
homogen.The Collecting data was taken by Pretest, posttest, teacher and student activity
sheet. The average N-Gain in experiment clas 0,53 belongs to medium category, meanwhile
in Control class is 0,25 belongs to low category.Refers to the value of T-test, it got difference
data that was significant. In such a way, it conclude that there is influence of the application
fire – up learning style towards the students’ achievement in digestion system concept of human
at grade VIII of SMPN 28 Pekanbaru.
