Silage is a forage feed made by fermentation in special containers such as plastic drums, plastic bags and barrels for three weeks under closed conditions. Where in the Kalipuro Village, especially in the Wangkal environment during the corn and sugarcane harvest season, a lot of agricultural waste is not utilized, namely corn leaves and sugar cane leaves along with their stems, only a few people in the Wangkal environment take the agricultural waste to be used as animal feed. If the agricultural waste is left unchecked, it will turn into garbage that causes unpleasant odors in the surrounding environment, in addition if the agricultural waste has withered, it can no longer be used as animal feed. Based on these problems, it is necessary to take action to overcome these problems, including making silage for cattle, where silage is useful for increasing the appetite of cattle and silage can be an alternative feed during the dry season or when sugarcane and corn have not been harvested, because silage can be stored for one year.
