Identifikasi dan Potensi Jamur Basidiomycota di Taman Hutan Kawasan Pusat Pemerintahan Provinsi Banten

The biodiversity of Indonesia is well-known, and this includes mushrooms. Information on fungal diversity is still scarce, though. The purpose of this study is to identify Basidiomycetes mushrooms in the Banten Province's Central Government Area (KP3B). Roadside, lakefront, and regions with decorative plants were the locations where the exploring techniques were used. The findings showed that ten fungus species belonging to the Orders Polyporales and Agaricales had been found. Six families (each containing one species) were recognized under the Order Agaricales, whereas the Order Polyporales had four species from three families. Roughly half of the fungal species were identified in decaying wood, thirty percent in litter, and ten percent in the soil. Because of their bioactive chemicals, which include anti-bacterial, anti-cancer, antioxidant, and immunomodulatory qualities, the found fungus show promise for medical applications. The results of this study provide basic information for further research on mushrooms.
