TThe rapid growth in electricity consumption in the PT PLN (Persero) Rumbai ULP service area has had a direct impact on the increased workload of the distribution infrastructure. In the Meranti Feeder, this load growth has triggered overload issues in existing distribution transformers as well as significant voltage drops at the end of the low-voltage network , exceeding the tolerance limit set by SPLN No. 1 of 1995 (maximum -10%). The installation of shunt transformers was selected as a solution to distribute the load and improve the voltage profile without laying new lines. This study aims to analyze the impact of installing shunt transformers by comparing substation loading conditions and voltage drops before and after installation during peak load periods. The research methodology involved collecting field technical data, including transformer capacity, line length, conductor type, load current, and customer end-point voltage, followed by mathematical calculations of power flow and voltage drop. The analysis results show that the load factor before insertion was 87,058%, and after insertion into the RB 16 transformer, it was 36,26%. The voltage at the transformer before insertion in each phase R, S, and T was 43,103 Volts, 41,552 Volts, and 32,250 Volts. After the addition of the RB 16 shunt transformer, the voltage in each phase R, S, and T was 24,497 Volts, 15,194 Volts, and 8,682 Volts.
