This study aims to analyse the level of effectiveness and contribution of the Conservation Forest Farmers Group (KTHK) as a management partner in supporting ecosystem rehabilitation in the Lawe Mamas Resort Rehabilitation Zone, Gunung Leuser National Park (TNGL). The study used a mixed methods approach with a qualitative approach reinforced by descriptive quantitative analysis through tabulation of KTHK role scores. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and questionnaires from 41 informants consisting of government representatives, NGOs, community leaders, and KTHK chairpersons and members. The results of the study show that the educational role has the highest score (2.9), indicating a high level of effectiveness in providing information and raising awareness of conservation, while the economic and social roles are the lowest (2.1) due to limited market access and production facilities. In general, the institutional, participatory, and supervisory roles show fairly strong results with scores between 2.4 and 2.8. These findings confirm that the existence of KTHK contributes significantly to the sustainability of forest area rehabilitation, but requires institutional strengthening and economic support for more sustainable community participation.
