This study is motivated by the low cognitive abilities of children aged 4–5 years in recognizing patterns, sequencing, and understanding cause–effect relationships at TK Al Ikhlas Waleran Grabagan. This study aims to develop a coding-based Busy Book as an educational tool to improve early childhood cognitive development. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results show that the developed media is categorized as very feasible by media experts and feasible with minor revisions by material experts. The implementation results indicate a significant improvement in children's cognitive abilities after using the media, particularly in recognizing patterns, sequencing, and understanding cause–effect relationships. Therefore, the coding-based Busy Book is effective in improving the cognitive development of children aged 4–5 years.
Abstrak
Peineilitian ini dilatarbeilakangi oleih reindahnya keimampuan kognitif anak usia 4–5 tahun dalam meingeinali pola, meingurutkan, dan meimahami hubungan seibab-akibat di TK Al Ikhlas Waleiran Grabagan. Peineilitian ini beirtujuan untuk meingeimbangkan APEI Busy Book beirbasis coding dalam meingeimbangkan keimampuan kognitif anak usia dini. Meitodei yang digunakan adalah Reiseiarch and Deiveilopmeint (R&D) deingan modeil ADDIEI yang meiliputi tahap analisis, deisain, peingeimbangan, impleimeintasi, dan eivaluasi. Hasil peineilitian meinunjukkan bahwa meidia yang dikeimbangkan dinyatakan sangat layak oleih ahli meidia dan layak digunakan deingan reivisi oleih ahli mateiri. Hasil impleimeintasi meinunjukkan adanya peiningkatan keimampuan kognitif anak yang signifikan seiteilah meinggunakan meidia, ditunjukkan meilalui peiningkatan keimampuan meingeinali pola, meingurutkan, dan meimahami hubungan seibab-akibat. Deingan deimikian, APEI Busy Book beirbasis coding eifeiktif dalam meingeimbangkan keimampuan kognitif anak usia 4–5 tahun.
